For the first time since children, we decided to get away. Wow. It was amazing. I seriously recommend it to all! So great to spend time stress, schedule, noise, and chaos free. :)
We had an amazing time and feel so blessed for the trip!
Thanks so much to my mom and good friend Hilleary for helping with the babysitting!
Day 1 - Sanfrancisco. Stopped at the pier to try some yummy asian/cali cuisine. Then rented bikes and biked from our little hotel, to the San Fran bridge and over it to Saulsalito. Then we took the ferry back to pier 39. It was SOO fun and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!!!
Day 2- Started with a run through Sanfrancisco park and along the beach, then back through the adorable neighborhoods to our hotel. One of my Favorite runs of all time!!! Once again - couldn't have asked for more perfect weather.
We then took the trolley to shopping district. -with the biggest most amazing stores I've ever seen!
I feel like it was even greater than NY! Stopped at an awesome fabric store and then some Dim Sum for lunch in China Town. AMAZING!
Ended the day driving down the coast to Santa Cruz.
Day 3 - Woke up in the quietest Bed and Breakfast we've ever been in (not like that's saying a whole lot). hahah They have a policy to not bug their guests - (Kinda my style actually).
Went hiking through some amazingly gorgeous redwoods (did some yoga along the way. tee hee ;)) Grabbed some quick lunch and drove down the coast to Carmel.
Day 4 - Spent the day shopping, walked the beach, visited the mission.
The whole day was BEAUTIFUL!
We found some yummy places to eat and greg discovered his favorite ice cream shop!
Last Day - Woke up and took the most amazing hike EVER! It was along the coastline and so perfect. I could have stayed there for hours.
Then stopped at the Monterey Aquarium before flying home, (which was a whole new discovery in itself - flying without kids is a whole new world!)
It was so nice to reconnect and just have fun hanging out! Marital therapy for sure :-)
Feeling blessed.
